Lips are the point of the face that best represent sensuality.
Lips that are too thin, or with corners which tend downwards or are not symmetrical, lips with wrinkles around them and are without turgor, are lips that do not do justice to the face.
And so, a sweet and sensual person, at first glance may appear severe, rigid and cold, only due to a congenital defect or due to the passing of the years when lips appear increasingly thin and perhaps surrounded by many small wrinkles!
For several years now, it has been possible, on an outpatient basis, to intervene rapidly, to correct defects in the shape or volume of the lips.
In fact, there are substances which are referred to as Fillers, which are used to fill the lips and reshape the contour.
Normally the filler looks like a gel that is injected through a pre-filled syringe fitted with a fine needle.
In order to avoid any discomfort, in most cases, a minimum dose of anesthetic is inserted inside the syringes used for filling, which will have the effect of making the lips numb for a few minutes: in this way you can proceed with the implantation with no pain.
The safest product, because it has been used for years and supported by extensive scientific research, is hyaluronic acid.
With the filler and the expert hand of the doctor, it is possible to correct both small imperfections and the most important defects:
- You can redefine the profile of lips that have lost firmness, in order to prevent lipstick from ‘smearing’ through little wrinkles.
- Asymmetries can be corrected: one half of a lip is thicker, lower or higher than the other.
- It is possible to reconstruct a very thin lip that is without volume.
- Fill and lift the corners of lips that over time bend downwards giving the face a sad look.
- There are people with completely flat upper lips. In these cases, the pillars, the two central columns that go from the base of the nose to the arch of the lips (cupid’s arch), can be reconstructed.
- Cupid’s bow itself, a central and extremely sensual point, can be redefined by a filler with a small infiltration
